The LPGA sponsoring agreement with the company dates back nearly 20 years. The company is an established sponsor of many golf events and is seeking to expand its presence.
Race to the CME Globe
CME Group Tour Championship is changing their name. It will now be known as the Race to the CME Globe Championship. The $2.5 Million prize pool is for the first place. The CME Group, based in Chicago, is sponsoring the event through 2023.
Tiburon Golf Club
The Tiburon Golf Course is where the LPGA CME Group Tour Championship takes place. This makes it a great location to enjoy a professional round of golf. In 2022, the tournament is set to take place on the Tiburon Golf Club Gold Course in Naples, Florida. The CME Group Tour Championship, the season-ending event of the LPGA Tour, is one the most prestigious events on the women’s professional golf tour. The event will be televised on NBC Sunday along with Golf Channel.
Jin Young Ko
Rolex World Rankings Number. Jin Young Ko has won six out of her 11 LPGA starts. Jin Young Ko struggled with travel and injury issues in the first half. In March, she lost her grandmother which also affected her game. However, her consistency this year is impressive. She is 9th in 10 starts with nine top-10 finishes, and 5 victories in the second-half.
Yuka Saso
Yuka Saso was tied for 29th at the 2021 LPGA CME Group Tour Championship. She had a 1-over score of 73. Saso had a strong start to the second round, but struggled in difficult conditions.
Natalie Gulbis
CME Group Tour Championships isn't just for professionals. The event offers a fantastic opportunity for women just beginning in the LPGA. Gulbis was invited to play in a pro am event in 2015 and was rewarded. In return, Gulbis was invited to compete at the CME Group Tour Championship. Gulbis' contributions to the creation of the event were acknowledged with an invitation.
Shanshan Feng
Shanshan Feeng is the first Chinese woman in the LPGA Tour to win a tournament. She has now reached fifth place in the overall rankings after winning two major championships. She has also won over $4 million during her career. Feng is one among the most dynamic players on the LPGA Tour.
