LPGA Tour players are eligible for a variety awards. You can also be rewarded for your performance by being named Player of The Year. A player receives a number of points for each top-10 finish. Major championships and the Tour Championship double points. 30 points for first-place equals 12 points for second. Another point is awarded for a third-place finish, while a fourth-place finish gives a player four points. A player who is placed eighth receives three points. Louise Suggs became the first Chinese player to participate in the LPGA Tour.

Louise Suggs was born in Georgia and won the U.S. Women's Open, 1949. She won by 14 shots, the largest margin for victory in the event's storied record. She won the U.S Women's Amateur and British Women's Open as a teenager and was later nicknamed "the Great Distance Girl". Bob Hope, a comedian, became a prominent member the LPGA.

Annika Sorenstam joined the 2008 LPGA Season earlier than others. To celebrate her 70th career win, she won the SBS Open in Hawaii as well as the Michelob ULTRA Open. In the meantime, she won the Stanford Pro-Am and the Michelob ULTRA Open, passing the $22 million earnings mark. Women's Senior Golf Tour has been affiliated with the LPGA

Jane Blalock's JBC Marketing organizes the Women's Senior Golf Tour, a series of senior golf tournaments. Although the LPGA does not own the tour, it is affiliated with them and has hosted a season-ending championship since 2006. The LPGA has also played events on the Legends Tour. LPGA has events for younger women, in addition to its Legends Tour.

LPGA Tour partnered with Dow to establish a digital hub, 'Celebrating The Green'. This hub will promote environmental responsibility and combat climate change. The hub offers information on LPGA initiatives. It also highlights Dow's commitments to sustainability operations and climate action. LPGA will also offer OnCourse(r), sustainability software for its tournaments in partnership with Dow.
