SheBelieves Cup: Invitational Women's Association Football Tournament

The SheBelieves Cup is an invitational women's association football tournament held in various cities across the United States. Each team plays two matches in the tournament. The tournament was contested in three previous years by the same four players. In 2018, the tournament will feature doubleheader format.

SheBelieves Cup, an extension of U.S. soccer's #SheBelieves Campaign, is now available

The SheBelieves Cup - a tournament with four teams that is held in the United States - is the latest initiative to support the #SheBelieves movement, which is a grassroots campaign by US Soccer for young girls to dream big. The campaign gained wide attention and expanded its reach since its launch in the lead-up to 2015 Women's World Cup. It has created a strong connection between the team and its supporters and has sent a powerful message to empower them.

Visa sponsors the tournament and will award the tournament MVP after each match. A committee consisting of ex-Women's National Team player votes on the MVP.

It's an all-four team tournament

"She Believes," is a tournament that features four teams of women's national soccer players. The tournament, now in its sixth edition, will take places in Carson. New Zealand as well Iceland will compete on Thursday at 5 pm PT on ESPN. On ABC, the U.S. will face Iceland at noon PT on February 20.

There are four teams in the tournament: Brazil, England, Japan and England. The USA is ranked first while England, Brazil and Japan are ranked eighth through tenth. Each team has won one match. The final will determine who will advance to next round. Total points and goal difference will determine the winner. All goals scored will be considered. If a tie is not resolved after 90 minutes, head-to-head results will be used. Each team may use six substitutes.

It is held on the West Coast

The SheBelieves Cup will be played in two different cities this year. The tournament took place in Orlando in 2014, Florida. The tournament this year will be the third and will take place in Los Angeles and San Diego. The tournament will be held under strict COVID protocols, and will serve as the start of the U.S.'s qualifying year for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games in France. The eight-team Concacaf W Championship will run from July 9 to July 24, and the winners will receive four qualifiers for the World Cup and one automatic spot for the next Olympic Games.


The competition provides young women with a unique opportunity to join the national team. The USWNT will compete against New Zealand and Iceland, which are three countries ranked among the top 24 world. The tournament has a history of attracting top teams, including Germany and Argentina. However, in the past the USWNT had a difficult time luring Canada's Olympic champion to America.

It's a doubleheader

The SheBelieves Cup is a women's soccer tournament hosted by U.S. Soccer that will take place from Feb. 17 to 23. The tournament's opening match between Iceland & New Zealand will be played on February 17. Matches will air on ESPN, ESPN3, and ABC, with the final doubleheader being played in suburban Dallas.

The tournament showcases some of top women's football players around the globe. These include Eugenie le Sommer, Carli Lloyd, Fara Williams, Fara Wilkins, Dzsenifer Makrozsan, Fara, Fara, Fara, Fara, Fara, and Dzsenifer Marozsan from Hungary.
