Morgan
Alex Morgan has been ruled out of two friendlies against England and Spain due to injury. Vlatko Andreinski, coach of the USWNT has released the 24-player roster. The matches will be played in London on Oct. 7, and in Pamplona on Oct. 14, respectively. Both teams qualify for the 2023 World Cup, Australia.
Carli Lloyd
Carli Lloyd is a top goal scorer in US women's soccer history. She is a USWNT veteran with three14 caps. If she plays in both South Korean friendlies, she could earn even more. Her career has not been without controversy. It was marred by her split from James Galanis (longtime trainer) and a major accident. She is also the highest paid player in women's tennis.
Alyssa Thompson
Alyssa Thomson is one the brightest American players. She has the technical skill and speed to beat defenders one-on-one. Tracey Kines, the head coach of US women's under-20 national team, saw her potential. Kevins recalled Thompson, 13 years ago, while she was scouting a club near Los Angeles. She met a forward who was "brave", and "resilient" on that field. Thompson is currently a member on the US women’s national team.
Tobin Heath
Tobin Heath, a forward, was recently selected for the US women's soccer team roster. She is a standout soccer player, who has represented both the North Carolina Tar Heels (USA) and the United States. United States Soccer Federation calls Heath "perhaps the USA’s most talented player". US Soccer named her Athlete for the Year in 2016.
Hope Solo
Hope Solo has been controversial in the women's football world. She left behind a complex legacy. She's one of the greatest goalkeepers and has made 202 appearances for USA team. Her record is 152 clean-sheets. Solo's controversial personality has been a big talking point in the sport. Solo is known for her outspoken views.
Tobin Naeher
The United States women's soccer team is in the final stages of their World Cup qualification campaign. Tobin Naeher was a surprise selection, but she has since proven to be a valuable member of the roster. She played every minute of the match and made four saves against France in the 2-1 win. Naeher also stopped Steph Haughton's attempted penalty kick save in semis.
Tiffany McLeod
A recent controversy in the US women's soccer team's match against Canada has the Canadian players accusing referee Christiana Pedersen of bias. The Canadians were upset after Pedersen awarded a penalty to the United States in the 80th minute for holding the ball in the penalty area. Pedersen, who is also a former World Cup referee, was not immediately available for comment.

Megan Rapinoe, a steady presence for the United States' women's national soccer team for more than 10 years. The forward is a powerful player both on and off the court. Rapinoe was raised in Redding, California where she played volleyball with her older brother and twin sister. Rapinoe is a big success for the United States of America in recent years. She netted two goals in World Cup 2012 and another in World Cup 2015.
