Robin Bone
A former high school track star, Robin Bone, turned 25 this week. She was a teenager who played all kinds of sports, from track and field and basketball to soccer and basketball. She was a top competitor since she was 15 years old, but had a concussion that forced her to withdraw. After deciding that she wanted to focus solely on track, the Darien High School track squad was created.
Nadine Broersen
Dutch track star Nadine Broersen is a world-class high jumper and heptathlon specialist. She holds the current national record for the high jump and is the 2014 World Indoor pentathlon champion. Broersen competes for her track and field club, AV Sprint, in Breda. It is also home to many top Dutch athletes.
