Rose Lavelle is a Cincinnati-based player of soccer. Rose Lavelle began playing soccer when she was five years old in coed youth leagues at the YMCA. She didn't celebrate or smile when she scored her first goal. Instead, she kept her cool and continued playing. She later went on to play for several local soccer clubs, including Cincinnati United Premier Soccer Club. She also played college soccer at the University of Wisconsin.
Lavelle grew up in Cincinnati and went to Mount Notre Dame High School. Later she received a scholarship at the University of Wisconsin. Today, she plays in the NWSL with the Washington Spirit. Neil Bradford, a Cincinnati Soccer trainer has been instrumental in Lavelle discovering her passion for soccer.

Lavelle represented the United States women’s national team at both the junior and senior levels. She was named the Big Ten's top midfielder in November 2015. She later received a first-team all-American honor from the NSCAA. Lavelle was also a member of the Dayton Dutch Lions W-League team in 2014, and the Seattle Sounders Women W-League team in 2015. Lavelle graduated college and joined Washington Spirit. After graduating from college, Lavelle moved back to Dayton to begin the 2016 Women's Premier Soccer League.

Rose Lavelle received the Big Ten Midfielder-of-the Year award in December 2015. She was also selected to the U.S. Women's National Team, but didn't make the game-day roster. Her frustration grew from that point. She felt she wasn't making enough progress and was not in the right shape to face the demands of being a national team player. However, she was able break through after a meeting with Coach Wilkins.
While playing soccer for the Badgers, Rose Lavelle is also a very active member of the university's community service programs. She is a major participant in Wish Upon a Badger Experience, Women's Soccer, and the Thank-A-Thon as well as Youth Soccer Clinics and the Thank-A-Thon. She has also become a brand ambassador for the premium light beer FLIGHT by Yuengling.

Rose Lavelle is from Cincinnati, Ohio. At just 15 years old, she became a vital member of the U.S. Women's National Team. She recently played in the Czech Republic at the SheBelieves Cup. Even though the USWNT was victorious in the game, they still outshot their opponents 18-6. Rose Lavelle was named Budweiser Woman of the Match.

Lavelle was injures in a friendly game against Australia in June 2017. She suffered a hamstring injury, but she returned to the USWNT for the final game. She showed a lot of creativity throughout tournament. Both her teammates as well as her coaches praised her for being a breakout player.
Lavelle has played at the World Cup for the United States. She made her World Cup debut in Thailand, but she was not able to make it against Chile. Later, she was back against Sweden to assist the United States in their attacks.
