ANA Inspiration
The ANA Inspiration is the LPGA Tour's first major this season. It will be shown on NBC Sports Network and Golf Channel Digital. The tournament will be covered by the channels throughout the week. NBC Sports' mobile app will also be available for fans to access the tournament coverage.
The LPGA ANA Inspiration tournament takes place in Rancho Mirage (California). It was previously known as the Dinah Shore Classic. It was held there every year since 1972. Inbee Park has won seven major championships. Since 2015, she has not won but is currently ranked No. 2 in the entire world.
The ANA Inspiration will be the third event of a six -event stretch along the LPGA Tour's West Coast swing. The schedule also includes the LOTTE Championship at Hawaii, the HUGEL Air Premia LA Open, as well as the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship.
Amundi Evian Championships
The Amundi Evian Championships are the fourth major championship in the LPGA TOUR schedule. The purse increased from $4.5million to $6.5million in 2018. Minjee Lee, last years winner, came back from a seven shot deficit to win by one stroke. This year, the tournament will be televised live on LPGA TV.
The Evian Championship is an important championship on the LPGA Tour. The tournament is played over three rounds. The tournament is held in Evian, France. The course is known to be challenging due to its many conditions. Evian is challenging but beautiful. Its scenery is surrounded lakes and offers stunning views over the French Alps.
Minjee Lee, last years winner, is now the eighth individual winner of a major, since it was first introduced. She will be attempting to become the first Evian Championship repeat winner.
NBC Sports
NBC Sports announced an all-women broadcasting team for the ShopRite LPGA Classic. The tournament will take place at the Seaview's Bay Course, Galloway in New Jersey. Cara Banks, Judy Rankin, and Paige Mackenzie are the analysts. Kay Cockerill and Karen Stupples are the on-course reporters. Beth Hutter will provide behind-the scenes coverage. Beth Hutter has been producing LPGA coverage since 1995.
In addition to the U.S. Women's Open, NBC Sports will also air the 3M Open and the Amundi Evian Championship. Both of these events are major championships for the LPGA TOUR. Both events will be covered live by NBC on its digital platforms. On Thursday, delayed coverage will air on GOLF Channel. The coverage will start at 9 p.m. ET.
NBC Sports will also air more than 60 hours of coverage from the British Open this week. The event will be held at the TPC Summerlin. Sungjae, the defending champion of the event, will be included in NBC's coverage. Peacock Channel as well as GOLF Channel will broadcast live coverage. Smylie K. Kaufman, a brand newcomer to the broadcasting team, will also be featured.
