While in her early years, de Randamie was a renowned Muay Thai competitor in the Netherlands, and she has gone on to win multiple titles in various weight classes. She has since signed with the UFC and won several notable matches in that organization. In 2013, she was able to make her UFC debut and defeated Julie Kedzie. She later went on to win the Women's Featherweight Championship by unanimous decision. She refused to meet Cris Cyborg in a unification match, and she was eventually stripped of her title.
