CME has sponsored LPGA tournaments in the past. Most recently, it sponsored the CME Group Titleholders, where Shanshan Feng won the event. Since almost 20 years, the company has sponsored the LPGA. The company is a well-known sponsor of golf events and plans to increase its reach.
Race to CME Globe
This week, the CME Group Tour Championship will change its name. It will now go by the Race to the CME Globe Championship. First place receives $2.5 million. Chicago-based CME Group sponsored the event up to 2023.
Tiburon Golf Club
The Tiburon Club is the perfect place to watch professional golf tournaments. The tournament will take place in 2022 on the Tiburon Golf Club's Gold Course. The CME Group Tour Championship, the season-ending event of the LPGA Tour, is one the most prestigious events on the women’s professional golf tour. The event will air live on NBC Sunday, as well as Golf Channel.
Jin Young Ko
The reigning Rolex World Rankings No. Jin Young Ko is the reigning Rolex World Rankings No. Jin Young Ko had a difficult first half due to injury and travel issues. In March, Jin Young Ko lost her grandmother, which also affected the game. Her consistency this year has been remarkable, however. She has nine top-10 finishes in 10 starts, with five victories in second half.
Yuka Saso
Yuka Saso was tied for 29th at the 2021 LPGA CME Group Tour Championship. She had a 1-over score of 73. Saso had a strong start to the second round, but struggled in difficult conditions.
Natalie Gulbis
CME Group Tour Championships can be enjoyed by all levels of golfers. It is also an excellent opportunity for women starting in the LPGA. Gulbis, who was part of a proam event in 2015, was rewarded with an invitation. In return, she was invited by CME Group Tour Championship to compete. Gulbis' contributions to the creation of the event were acknowledged with an invitation.
Shanshan Feng
ShanshanFeng is the first Chinese woman ever to win a tournament at the LPGA Tour. She is currently fifth in the overall rankings, having won two major championships. Her career has seen her win more than $4,000,000. Feng is one the most exciting players on LPGA Tour.
