The SheBelieves Cup is an invitational women's association football tournament held in various cities across the United States. Each team plays two matches. There are four teams in this tournament. The first three years, the tournament was contested by the same four teams. Doubleheader format will be used in 2018 tournament.

SheBelieves Cup is an extension to U.S. Soccer's #SheBelieves program

The SheBelieves Cup, an international tournament for four-team round robin teams, is the latest initiative in support of the #SheBelieves Campaign, which was launched by US Soccer to inspire young girls. The campaign gained wide attention and expanded its reach since its launch in the lead-up to 2015 Women's World Cup. It has also created a unique bond between the team and its fans and a powerful message of empowerment.

The tournament is sponsored by Visa and will feature a tournament MVP, which will be awarded after the final match. A committee made up of ex-Women's National Team players votes on the MVP.

It's a four-team tournament

"She Believes," is a tournament that features four teams of women's national soccer players. The tournament will take place in Carson, Calif. on February 17th. New Zealand (PT) and Iceland (PT) will play on Thursday. The U.S. will play Iceland on February 20, at noon PT, on ABC.

There are four teams participating in the tournament, namely Brazil, England Japan, Japan, and England. The USA is ranked #1, while England (and Brazil) are eighth and tenth. Both teams have won one match. The final will decide which team advances to the next round. The total points scored and the difference in goals will determine who is the winner. All goals will be taken into consideration. If there is no resolution after 90 minutes, the head-tohead results will be used. Each team is allowed six substitutes in each game.

It's held on West Coast

This year, the SheBelieves Cup is being played in two cities. The tournament first took place in Orlando, Florida back in 2014. The tournament this year will be the third and will take place in Los Angeles and San Diego. The tournament will be held under strict COVID protocols, and will serve as the start of the U.S.'s qualifying year for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games in France. The Concacaf W Championship is a eight-team event that will take place from July 9-24. The winners will receive four qualifying spots for the World Cup as well as one automatic spot at the next Olympic Games.

The competition is a great opportunity for young women to break into the national team. The USWNT will compete against New Zealand and Iceland, which are three countries ranked among the top 24 world. The tournament has a track record of attracting top-ranked teams, such as Argentina or Germany. However, the USWNT has not been able to lure Canada's Olympic champion in the past. This tournament has a mixed overall record.

It's a doubleheader
