Brooke Henderson leads LOTTE Championship

Brooke Henderson of the LPGA is in line to claim her sixth career title. American has been searching since January for a win, but she is now in top form, shooting a total of 69. She averaged 25 putts per round in the first half of the tournament. Through the first half of the tournament, she did not make a bogey in any round. She also has a 68 in her final five rounds.

The second round of the LOTTE Championship was filled with some tough conditions for the field, but despite the challenging conditions, Brooke Henderson is leading the leaderboard after two rounds. She's two strokes ahead of Mo Martin, who shot a seven-under-par 70, and Shanshan Feng, who shot a seven-under par 73. Pernilla Lindberg is tied for 25th.

Annika Sorenstam trails Madelene Sagstrom

Annika Sorenstam is now back at the top on the LPGA Tour leaderboard, having shot a 5-under 65 last Thursday. Madelene Sagstrom, a fellow LPGA Tour star and one of her captain's picks from last year, joined her. They shot a 5-under 65 for a share of the lead after the first round. Sorenstam, who is currently playing her second LPGA Tour tournament of the year, and third overall for 2008, will be taking part in this event. Sorenstam & Sagstrom will continue to play alternate shots on Friday.


Sorenstam was one of four players to shoot a 69 on Thursday, while Sagstrom is two shots behind. Both players still have the chance to win, but it is still possible to take home a trophy. Sorenstam has not won on the LPGA Tour since 2008. However, she has played several events this year, including the U.S. Senior Women's Open and the Michelob Ultra Open at Kingsmill.

Brooke Henderson wins the second consecutive LPGA event

Brooke Henderson from Canada won her second consecutive LPGA Canada tournament. The 18 year old had a phenomenal year. At eighteen, she won Toronto's Women's PGA Championship and was invited to the 2016 Olympics. She was seventh in Rio's womens golf tournament. She holds the record with the most LPGA Tour winnings by a Canadian. She will win her 10th LPGA event in April 2021. Since her debut in 2015, Henderson has won an LPGA tournament every year.

With her win in Canada, Brooke Henderson now has three LPGA Tour titles. She also won the McKayson New Zealand Open last June and the Meijer Classic after winning the LOTTE Championship. Her win set a Canadian record in LPGA Tour victories. She beat Lexi Thompson and Michelle Wie by two strokes. She was also awarded the Bobbie Rosenfeld Trophy, the highest honor in the LPGA.

Brooke Henderson won two LPGA events last year

Brooke Henderson won Los Angeles' second LPGA event, winning with a bogey free 64. After two rounds, she had been four shots behind the leader, but by the final round, she had increased her score to 12 under, one stroke ahead of the leader. Lindsey Weaver Wright, a rookie on the tour, was on her path to her first win. However, Henderson won in a playoff after Henderson birdied her final hole.

The Canadian was also the winner of the LPGA at Seaview event. In 2016, she won the Women’s PGA Championship. She started the afternoon round four strokes behind Korda, but roared back with birdies on the first two holes. Nos. 3 and 9, she made bogeys. She made bogeys at Nos. 3 & 9, but then she had a huge round on the back 9. She hit putts of as high eight feet on the last three holes.
